Development company “New Square” was established in 1999 and since then became one of the major private developers in Russia.  New Square partners include OJSC “Mosstroymekhanizatsiya - 5”, Coalco Development, Industrial and Investment Group Eurasia, Belaya Dacha Group, International airport “Sheremetyevo”. 

At present “New Square” is one of the major developers in the Moscow region, and undertakes construction of 2 residential micro districts – “Solntsegrad” and “Seven Stars” with a total construction area of 1,5 mln. sq. meters. 

In 2008 as a part of a new strategy being formed and in order to obtain a wider access to financing, it was decided to find a strategic investor from among  financial market professionals to participate in the capital formation of the company, which resulted in the set-up of a joint company together with Simargl Capital.

Simargl Capital was established in 2007 by former Alfa Group employees – Armen Petergov and Oleg Martynenko, together with a co-owner and co-founder of Mercuria Energy Group Ltd, one of the five largest independent energy traders in the world – Gregory Jankilevich.   Simargl Capital is currently managing 2 investment funds – Simargl New Opportunities Fund and Simargl Multi-Strategy Fund SPC, primarily investing in Russia and CIS.
